Psalm 90: 14 & 17
Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all of our days.
May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us – yes, establish the work of our hands
2 Cor 9:8
Heb 4:16
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work (2012).
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
The Lord is
Preparing and equipping us
For His
Unfolding Plan for Revival
I said as a Christian
you have
a calling
a ministry
a destiny
your calling is connected to your ministry
your ministry is connected to your destiny
Today we continue our next focus
The Power of Grace
(For Ministry) Pt 2
Review (Pt.1)
I said it’s very important that we begin
with very important statements
You will never be able to function in the full capacity of your ministry to the Lord ; to others ; and in defeating the powers of the enemy, unless you understand the dynamics of God’s Grace.
The understanding of God’s Grace enables the Holy Spirit to be released in full potential.
When the Lord brought this revelation to me it changed my ministry.
Let’s lay the foundations in order to receive the new revelation of grace and ministry that the Lord has for the upcoming season of Revival.
2 Cor 9:8
Eph 2:8
Heb 4:16
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work (MINISTRY).
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— (PERSONAL)
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (PERSONAL / MINISTRY)
Grace
(Important)
We often say that God’s GRACE is His Unmerited Favor
But it goes far beyond this simple statement
It means LIVING in His GRACE
LIVING IN GRACE means…
The awareness of the Lord is with us
Understanding that we have access to God
The forgiveness of sin and freedom from condemnation
No longer being bound to WORKS for His favor (earning approval)
No longer neutralized by our failures
Defeats the tactics of the enemy
Releases the power of the Lord through us
Unmerited “Favor”
His Grace HAS BEEN released for you and your ministry
Important
Understanding Grace is a KEY receiving the Lord’s provision and living in His overcoming life.
Understanding Grace will enable you to see who you are and
live victoriously in your ministry and destiny
Insights
The purpose of receiving God’s Grace is releasing God’s Grace (good work- ministry)
We are to become agents through which God’s Grace is released.
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power (God’s provision –Grace) when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses (releasers of Grace) in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
When God’s Grace is released the Kingdom of God is established.
The Lord’s gift to us is His Grace
Luke 2:40 And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him.
John 1:16 From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.
John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Acts 15:11 it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved,
Rom 5:15 God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflows to the many!
Insights
God’s Grace is expressed through
Healing
God’s Favor
Provision
Miracles
Freedom
Acts 14:3
They spoke boldly for the Lord and He confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to do miraculous signs and wonders.
Grace
New Covenant
The unmerited, undeserved unearned gift of God’s favor and blessings released through the completed sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross
And then through the believer to
continue the ministry of Jesus on earth
2 Cor. 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work (results)
The outworking of receiving God’s Grace is releasing God’s Grace (good work- ministry)
We are to become agents (ministers)
through which God’s Grace is released.
Let’s look at
The importance of
Speaking
God created the world by speaking
Gen 1:3 And God said, “Let there be light,”
God told Moses to speak to the rock for water (Num. 20:8)
Joshua spoke to the sun (Josh. 10:12)
Elijah spoke and commanded fire from heaven (1 Kings 18:38)
Jesus spoke to demons, sickness, to the storm (Luke 8:24)
Jesus commanded his disciples to speak the mountain (obstacles) (Mark 11:22-23)
Insights
The Lord releases His grace to us and we are to release His grace to others
We are to become agents through which God’s Grace is released in our lives and others.
Matt 16:19 I will give you the keys (God’s Grace) of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
Mark 11:22-23 22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain , ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
When God’s Grace is released the Kingdom of God is established.
Insights
When “Grace” is released …
“Grace releases”
One of the key purposes of God’s grace is to be proclaimed in and through our lives
Grace to you…
Grace through you
A key to releasing grace is proclaiming grace.
Speaking “grace” releases God
An example from the Bible
The story is found in the Book of Zechariah
It has to do with two key players
A prophet by the name of Zechariah
a man by the name of Zerubbabel
Zerubbabel was the leader of a contingent of 50,000 Jews that returned to Israel after being exiled in Babylon for 70 yrs
Short history.
Approximately 590 BC Jerusalem was destroyed by the Babylonians because the Jew turned from their worship of God
And the Jews were taken to Babylon
The city was destroyed in the nation was vanquished.
The Jews were scattered all over creation
In a sizable number were taken to Babylon into captivity
According to the prophecy of Jeremiah the captivity would last for 70 years and the promise that they would be released to return to their land.
The man who led the return to Israel was Zerubbabel.
Their first goal was to rebuild the Temple
Over the next 13 years from the return they rebuilt the Temple.
The problem was they didn’t plan to take 13 years to rebuild the Temple.
The delay caused everybody to get discouraged and the project stopped
Zerubbabel became very discouraged.
He was able to lead the people began the project but unable to see it completed.
That’s the setting for our story.
It has to do with the frustrations that we face in our lives when there’s problems and delays in seems like things aren’t coming together
Discouragement begins to enter in
It’s also a story about releasing the “Grace of God”
Zech 4:6-10
So he said to me (Zec), “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.
“What are you, O mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the headstone to shouts of “Grace ! Grace!”
Then the word of the Lord came to me:
“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.
Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin
This story is about a promise
A promise that was given and yet because of the delay despair set in
There was great hope beginning with great activity but because of delay people became discouraged
People began to give up
The Jews started the building project full of hope and expectation but they came to a log jam in their faith
I want you to imagine the scene
Zerubbabel comes to the building site
Partially done structure (describe)
The partially done project seem to mock Zerubbable
He was full of discouragement- never get done
He hears someone approaching perhaps a workman.
Looks up to see Zechariah coming.
Zechariah asked how you feeling today
Zerubbable said I have to be honest I’m really discouraged
no one has come to help
Zechariah says “brother that’s why I’m here”
The Lord gave me a word for you
Zerubbable said okay share that word with me.
He said to tell you: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.
“What are you, O mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of “Grace ! Grace!”
Then the word of the Lord came to me:
“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.
Zerb was encouraged
Zec explain to me what you feel it means
Zerb: Not by my power… It’s going to be the Lord that does it
Zec: How is going to happen:
Zerb: By His Grace
Zerb: It says by Shouting Grace
Go through- then the spirit of the Lord comes on Him
Shouts
Temple did get built
Speaking grace into your situation
is an important part of
seeing your prayers answered
For you and your Ministry
Speaking grace into your situation releases God
It releases the “favor” of God
What are the areas of ministry you need to speak Grace into today?
