But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ
They defeated the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony;

A victorious Christian will need to-
Deal with the enemy
1 Peter 5:8-9 Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith
James 4:7 Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
2 Cor 2:11
We are to know very well what Satan’s plans are.
Turn to someone and say “It’s all about the spiritual.”

Many people don’t like to talk about the enemy
- The enemy wants (ignorance)
- These people are called VICTIMS (POW)
- Their life is continually invaded by spiritual attacks and their ministry is neutralized
- The Word of God
Luke 21:8
He replied: “Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’
Matt 24:24-25
Your enemies will try to fool even the people God has chosen, if that is possible. Now I have warned you about this before it happens.

GIFT OF DISCERNING OF SPIRITS
Gift of Discerning of spirits
The ability given by the Holy Spirit in situations when it is needed to recognize what spirit is behind different manifestations or activities. This is often accompanied by direction on how to deal with the situation
Recognizing which spirit is involved in a given situation requires moving in the “Gift of the Discerning of spirits” which is essentially being sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
Dealing with the spirit of the enemy in our lives and others is called: Spiritual Warfare
Eph 6:10-13
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

I have found personal communion to be one of the most effective tools in:
- Maintaining Intimacy with the Lord
- Defeating The Attacks of the Enemy
- Growth and effectiveness in ministry

- Come means

- to bond
- to connect
Let’s set the foundation in scripture
Matt 26:26-28
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Do this to remember what I’ve taught you
Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Matt 10:1
He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.
Luke 10:19
I have given you authority .. to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will you
Mark 16:17-18
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out …they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven

Jesus says that I have come you may have life and that life more abundantly then at the end of his ministry he says do this (Communion) to “remember me at all that I’ve taught you for they will be very important for the days ahead Luke 22:19
The “this“ is Communion and the Lord wants us personally involved with the dynamic that he taught his disciples
It was not only life-changing it was key to establishing the Kingdom of God (Ministry)

- Most Christians have not been taught to understand the powerful tool (weapon) the Lord has given to us in His Word about the Cup.
- They just accept the premise but do not know how to apply it to their daily life.
- Let’s establish this powerful weapon against the enemy in our lives, family and ministry
The Cup (Blood of Jesus)

Lev 17:11
11 for the life of the body is in its blood. I have given you the blood on the altar (cross) to cleanse you, making you right with the Lord (NLT)
Heb 9:22
In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
1Peter 1:19-21
but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times your sake. 21 Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

They defeated the enemy by the blood of the Lamb (Jesus) and by the word of their testimony;
When you call on the Blood of Jesus, you’re not just speaking empty words. You are making a demand on your Blood Covenant with God you received when you accepted Jesus as your Savior.

The Power of the Blood (The Cup)

Forgives our sins
Sin is the effect of the enemy’s influence in our lives (the enemy’s weapon)
There is no forgiveness or release from it’s effects without the Blood of Christ
Mankind has no defense Against the enemies accusations
Matt 26:28
28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
1 Peter 1:18-19
18 For you know that God paid you debt to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver. 19 It was the precious blood of Christ,
- Restores our relationship with God
Eph 1:7-8
In him we have reestablish relationship through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace
Heb 10:19-22
19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith,

Releases Healing
Isa 53:4-5
4 Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down.
..5 But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,.. and by his wounds (blood) we are healed.
Rom 8:2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.
Rom 8:12
11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

Provides Protection
The blood covers us with protection
The enemy cannot break through
Ex 12:13
But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you and protect you. This plague of death will not touch you
- Establishes our authority over the enemy
The enemy looks for “faith in God’s Word”. That’s why he sows unbelief
If we do not claim our authority he will not yield
When Jesus walked on the scene they new He had authority- they had to respond
Mark 1:24-26
“What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are — the Holy One of God!” “Be quiet!” said Jesus sternly. “Come out of him!” 26 The evil spirit ..came out of him .
Mark 16:17
17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out the enemy;
- Releases the Power of God daily
There is power in the Blood
Colossians 2:10 and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority
John 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
- Releases Victory into every area of our lives
