Praise Releases Your Anointing
‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.(the anointing) In those days I will pour out my Spirit on those who are serving me
But YOU will receive power (the anointing) when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
. “I have begun to give… begin to receive.”
In the last days I will pour out my spirit (Anointing) Fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit
The Anointing represents: The Holy Spirit
Matt 21: 6 -16
The disciples brought the donkey and the colt, placed their cloaks on them, and Jesus sat on them. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest!” ….
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?” The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.” ….The blind and the lame came to him at the temple, and he healed them. But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple area, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they were indignant. “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him. “Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read, “‘From the lips of children and infants you have released praise’?”
Next Sunday :
The Easter Anointing
Preparation for EASTER
Jesus enters Jerusalem
Palm Sunday marks the beginning of an monumental week
- Coming to End of His public ministry
- Enters into Capital City of Jerusalem
- Sets the confrontation with “religion”
- Establishes Communion (Last Supper)
- Garden of Gethsemane-Confrontation of Hell
- Crucifixion- Defeat of Hell
- Resurrection-Defeat of death
This incident was prophesied in 2 fulfillment parts
( 520 B.C.)
Part 1 (Lord’s 1st entry into Jerusalem 33 A.D)
Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle (humble) and riding on a donkey
Part 2 ( To Jerusalem- Lord’s 2nd return)
Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights in the day of battle. On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.
The LORD will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name.
Underlines the fact
That when the Lord says He’s going to do something… He is going to do it
Jesus exposes and establishes
When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!“ Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, ” rebuke your disciples!“
“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
Religion (man’s ideas of worship/relationship) wants to stop what releases the Lord’s entry and His provision. (days ahead)
- Jesus, ” rebuke your disciples!“ Tell them to keep quiet Stop them from praising
- This is not the way it is done
- Stop them from moving in the Holy Spirit (the anointing)
- It’s all about the spiritual
Praise releases the Anointing
Matt 21:16 “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him. “Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read, ‘From the lips of children and infants you have released praise?
