Easter IS a “seasonal message”

Every season you are in.

At the Last Supper

Jesus said

“Do this to remember me”

Today’s Message:
COMMUNION- YOUR DOOR TO BREAKTHROUGH

Isaiah 46:9 -10

Remember the things I have done for you in the past. For I am God, and there is no one like Me. From the very beginning,    I told what would happen  long before it took place. I keep My word and fulfill my promises

I know the end from the beginning

Many Christians never see or delay Breakthrough
because they

“Forget to Remember

The Door to Breakthrough is Remembering

“Remembering” is very important

The Door to Breakthrough is Remembering

  • His Ways

Isa 55:8-9

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”declares the LORD. .

Ps 128:1-2 Blessed are all who reverence the LORD, who walk in his ways–> You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.

Mic 4:2 “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, He will teach us his ways, so we may walk in His paths (blessings).

Deut 11:22-25 If you carefully observe all these commands I am giving you to follow–to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways and to hold fast to him…Every place where you set your foot will be yours:

  • His faithfulness

Ps 36:5-7 Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies., How priceless is your unfailing love

Ps 89:1-2 I will sing of the LORD’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations. I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you established your faithfulness in heaven itself.

Ps 117:2 For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.

Isa 25:1 O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things,

Lam 3:22-23 for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

  • His promises

Ps 145:13-14

The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.

2 Cor 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

Ps 119:50 Your promises preserve my life.

Rom 4:20-21 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised

  • His commitment to us

1 Thes. 5:24 He who calls you is faithful, and he is committed to do it.

Matt 18:19 “Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.

1 John 5:14-15 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked of him

Heb 9:15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise

  • His love for us

Rom 8:39-9:1

Nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 3:16-17   “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

1 John 4:10   This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Eph 5:1-2 Follow God’s example therefore, and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

  • He has defeated the enemy in / through our lives

Eph 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

Ps 136:24 and freed us from our enemies,

Matt 16:19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven

Rev 1:17-18 “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. 18 I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.

Isa 54: 17 no weapon forged against you will prevail

Rev 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony;

Communion reminds us that

  • Sickness Has Been Defeated
  • Robbery Has Been Defeated
  • Fear Has Been Defeated
  • Discouragement Has Been Defeated
  • Addictions Have Been Defeated
  • Divorce Has Been Defeated
  • Hopelessness Has Been Defeated
  • Satan (your enemy) and his lies has been defeated
  • Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom.

Jesus said

“Do this to remember me”

He spoke this at the last meal He had with His disciples

Hebrews
4:16

Let us then approach the throne of grace (Communion Table) with confidence, so that we may ask for and receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

1Cor. 11: 23-26

For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in to remember  me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remember me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
