But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ

Ps 60:12 With God we will gain the victory , and he will defeat our enemies.
1 John 2:13 Your fellowship with God enables you to gain a victory over the Evil One.
Romans 8:37 in all things in life, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us .
He gives us such promises as
John 10:10 I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Dan 11:32 but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits and those with understanding will teach many
3 John 2 I pray that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers
God’s promises are Yes and amen (2 Cor. 1:20)
The Lord wants his people living in Victory
Not manipulated by the circumstances of their life
If we follow and apply the Word of God We will live in victory

Characteristics of a Victorious Christian in the next move of God
- Stand on and use God’s word
- Submit to the Lord’s “lordship”
- Make correct decisions
- Deal with the enemy
- Trust god in the challenges of life
- Minister to others
- Move in the gifts of the Holy Spirit
- Approach life with confidence
- Not give up when challenged
- Thrive in victory
A victorious Christian will need to- Deal with the enemy
1 Peter 5:8-9 Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith
James 4:7 Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We are to know very well what Satan’s plans are.

- If I stir him up I’m going to be attacked
- I would rather not deal with the enemy
This is exactly what the enemy wants(ignorance)
These people are called VICTIMS (POW)
Their life is continually invaded by spiritual attacks and their ministry is neutralized

Luke 21:8 He replied: “Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’
Matt 24:24-25 Your enemies will try to fool even the people God has chosen, if that is possible. Now I have warned you about this before it happens.
2 Cor 11:14-15 Even Satan changes himself to look like an angel of light (truth).
Let’s look at One of the Key Weapons We Have against the Enemy
GIFT OF DISCERINING OF SPIRITS
Gift of Discerning of spirits
The ability given by the Holy Spirit in situations when it is needed to recognize what spirit is behind different manifestations or activities. This is often accompanied by direction on how to deal with the situation
Examples
Acts 5 Ananias and Sapphira
Acts 16:16-18 Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling. 17 This girl followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” 18 She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” moment the spirit left her.
Recognizing which spirit is involved in a given situation requires moving in the “Gift of the Discerning of spirits” which is essentially being sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
Dealing with the spirit of the enemy in our lives and others is called: Spiritual Warfare
Eph, 6:10-13
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
