We continue:

Victorious Christian Living

Today:

Celebrating America

One Nation under God

How our country was established

The Peace Treaty of Paris 1763 ended the French Indian War

The Peace Treaty of Paris of 1783, negotiated between the United States and Great Britain, ended the revolutionary war and recognized American independence.

America is a land of

Liberty

Freedom

And

Peace

How this was accomplished

America’s roots are deeply planted in the spiritual legacy of those pilgrims and early forefathers who established this nation “under God”.

They were, almost to a man, professing Christians who came to America in search of freedom.

Christians wrote the Constitution.

The idea that America would not be directed by the Word of God was not conceivable to those men.

They did not even feel it was necessary to mention the word Christian in the Constitution.

62 percent of Americans said they believe that God has given the United States a special role in human history.

  • From physical aide to nations in crisis
  • Missionary outreach
  • Financial Support
  • Our Personal And Religious Freedom offered to those who immigrate LEGALLY.
  • The right to life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness

America is a land of freedom based on its Judeo-Christian foundation.

It is on these principles that God has blessed America to impact the world.

These principles are in jeopardy and are being redefined.

Our nation is built on Godly principles which we have lost especially in this past decade.

Today 2017

We’ seen…

  • Removal the “moral compass” in this nation
  • Reformulating the principles on which this nation was built
  • Cultural Restructuring- called tolerance
  • Redefining foundational structures such as the family, authority and religious freedoms
  • Redefinition of the family (Over 70 % of Americans voted against)
  • Removing Prayer (schools, workplace)
  • Removing the religious foundations of this nation
  • Redefining Our Nation’s Moral Perspective
  • Promoting Alternate Lifestyles beginning in Kindergarten
  • (LGBT- Neutral Gender Identification- No Boys & Girls)
  • Promotion of taxpayer funded abortions (3K per day)
  • Lawlessness / Open borders / Terrorist attacks
  • Governmental influence in every aspect of our lives (Schools, Medical, US Constitution)

Many Americans are saying

“It seems like things are out of control”

“I don’t have confidence in our leaders”

“Things are happening that I don’t believe in”

“There’s so much strife and turmoil”

“I don’t feel safe”

“It seems we’ve lost our focus”

“our freedom”

“our peace”

Can we live in peace in these challenging times?

Answer…

God bless America –
America bless God

Jesus comes and says

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; MY PEACE I give you. I don’t give you a false sense of peace. It’s the real peace that only I can give.. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Matt 11:28-30

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (PEACE).  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

John 16:33

I’m sharing these things with you , so that in ME you can have PEACE. There are going to be challenges in this world that you face But take heart! I’ve  gained VICTORY for you  and you can live in that PEACE.”

Let’s look at

How to “Live In” (maintain)  the “Peace of Christ”

The Christian ADVANTAGE

Jn. 14:27  Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.

  • Don’t allow external circumstances to manipulate you.

(changing whims- prognosticators, news, opinions, Yahoo, Google CNN, MSNBC, etc )

Prov 29:25

Honoring man’s wisdom will prove to be a trap, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.

  • Don’t allow fear, worry and confusion to enter in

2 Tim 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Matt 6:25-34   “ So I tell you , do not worry…. “your heavenly Father knows what you need. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well

Phil 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

1 Cor 14:33 For God has not given us the spirit of fear but of, power love  and PEACE

  • Base your peace on God’s Word

It’s not what man says or what the devil says.. It’s what God says..

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is active and alive today

1 Thess 2:13-14 the word of God effectively works in you who believe.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, d intents of the heart.

Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ be your determining factor

Matt 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

  • Don’t allow your relationship with the Lord to be compromised (sin)

John 10:10

The thief does not comes to rob you, and to kill, and to destroy you. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

1 Peter 5:8

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Eph 6:10-12

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh

  • Let the Peace of Christ  guide you

Col 3:15

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

James 3:18

Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

Rom 15:33

The God of peace be with you all.

  • Don’t allow your relationship with the Lord to become stagnant

Luke 11:2-3

“Our ‘Father who is in heaven, I honor your name,  your kingdom come, your will be done  n earth as it is in heaven.  Give us each day our daily bread.

Eph 5:18

18 Do not get drunk on the world systems, which leads to ineffectiveness and robbery Instead, be filled with the Spirit.

Lam 3:22-23

God’s committed love to us is released and his compassions for us  never fails.

They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

  • Rest (be at peace) in God’s Plan’s and Promises for you

Jer 29:11-13

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

2 Cor 1:20

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.

  • Keep the “main thing” the “main thing.” (Lordship)

Matt 6:33

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. NIV
