‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.(the anointing) In those days I will pour out my Spirit on those who are serving me

But YOU will receive power (the anointing) when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

In the last days I will pour out my spirit

(Anointing)

Fresh infilling of Holy Spirit 

 

Turn to someone and say “It’s All About the Spiritual”

“On earth as it is in heaven”

We first breakthrough in the spiritual real

Then we see it in the physical realm

We continue our series

Anointing

The Anointing…

enables  us  to live in the assurance of our needs being met so we can step beyond our abilities  and move in the power of the Holy Spirit. (Empowered to share Jesus).

Victory in and through our lives.

Throughout Scripture
God has been trying to reconnect with man
Examples

Loss of relationship in Garden

Through Abraham-establishes a people unto God

Moses Burning Bush/ to deliver people  in Egypt

Mt. Sinai in the wilderness

Through David- begins a Nation

Through the Prophets of Old Testament

Through Jesus

Through the Holy Spirit

Through the Word of God

Jer 33:3

‘Call to me and I will answer you

The major focus of the enemy is to remove man’s identity

When we lose our identity

We allow the enemy to define us. (social requirements, conformity)

Even our ministry- ( nice- P/C focus on FoS not GoS)

The purpose is  to

Redefine  & Neutralize

We are  looking at
2 aspects of our Ministry

    Defender

  Possessor

We began with

Defend

To ward off attack

To guard

To STAND

It’s time Step up

Take our position

Impact our “sphere of influence”

Live in the victory Christ has given us

Banning the Bible any  literature, counseling which defines Christian values

To Possess

• to…
• acquire
• occupy
• govern
• control

Scripturally

 “To set the spiritual atmosphere”

(It’s ALL about the Spiritual”)

The enemy wants to redefine

It’s time we (YOU)
become a possessor

Relationships

Finances

Future

The Word Says

Deut 1:8

I have given you this land. Go in and take possession

Josh 1:3

I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised

no weapon formed against you will prevail,

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Deut 2:31 “I have begun to give… begin to possess.”

Let’s look at

Keys to being a Possessor

• God Word becomes the governing factor

(settles it, final authority)

Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly

2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

Prov 30:5  “Every word of God is flawless;  he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

Ps 119:9  How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.

1 Peter 1:25  But the word of the Lord stands forever.”

 

• See  situations from God’s perspective

God is sovereign

Not over until God says it’s over

Nothing is impossible with God

Matt 19:26 but with God all things are possible.

Ps 150:2 Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.

Ps 50:1 The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks and summons the earth  from the rising of the sun to the place where it sets.

 

• Led by the Spirit

Not circumstances, emotions, life’s trials

Rom 8: 14 because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Ps 119:60 I will hasten and not delay  to obey your commands.

Ps 40:8 I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.”

1 John 3:24 Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

 

• Live in Freedom

No worries, fears, timidity

Full identity as a child of God

Titus 3:7-8 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.

John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed

2 Cor 3:17  Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Gal 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.

 

 

• Speak Faith

Speaks of life

So much negative talk today

Our words release God or the enemy

Our words can open or tie God’s hands

Our words can bind ourselves and others

Our words  can hold back “breakthrough”

2 Cor 4:13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak

2 Cor 4:13 in the Scriptures it says, “I spoke because I had faith.” We have that same kind of faith. So we speak  (CEV)

• Posture for the Anointing

God is faithful

No unbelief allowed

Expecting God to show up

1 Sam 26:23 The LORD rewards every man for his righteousness and faithfulness

Heb 11:6  He must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him

 

Keys to being a  Possessor

• God Word becomes the governing basis

• See  situations from God’s perspective

• Led by the Spirit

• Lives in Freedom

• Speaks fait
• Posture for the Anointing
