Joel 2
Acts 2

In the last days I will pour out my spirit

(Anointing) Fresh infilling of Holy Spirit

We continue on RELEASING THE ANOINTING

Turn to someone and say; “It’s all  about the Spiritual”

“On earth as it is in heaven”

We first breakthrough in the spiritual real

Then we see it in the physical realm

Today we continue

From Defender to Possessor

Stepping into your Anointing

The Anointing…

enables  us  to live in the assurance of our needs being met so we can step beyond our abilities  and move in the power of the Holy Spirit. (Empowered to share Jesus). Victory in and through our lives.

Throughout Scripture
God has been trying to reconnect with man
Examples

  • Loss of relationship in Garden
  • Through Abraham-establishes a people unto God
  • Moses Burning Bush/ to deliver people  in Egypt

Jer 33:3 ‘Call to me and I will answer you

  • The major focus of the enemy is to remove man’s identity

  • When we lose our identity

  • We allow the enemy to define us. (social requirements, conformity)

  • Even our ministry- ( nice- P/C focus on FoS not GoS)

  • The purpose is  to

  • Redefine

  • &

  •  Neutralize

I want to look at our 2 aspects of Ministry

  •     Defender

  •    Possessor

We continue with DEFENDER

Defend

  • To ward off attack
  • To guard
  • To STAND

STAND

Eph 6:10

Finally, stand strong in the Lord and in his mighty power

Rom 14:4  And he will stand , for the Lord is able to make him stand .

1 Cor 10:13 God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

1 Cor 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you

1 Cor 16:13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.

2 Cor 1: 21 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ.

Why do we need  Power to stand?

Gal 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand fast then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of bondage.

1 Peter 5:8

Be vigilant (stand fast); because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour

John 10:10

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;

The enemy’s purpose is to cause you to

  • become discouraged
  • become bound by doubt / fear / worry
  • lose heart
  • settle for less
  • Give up (ourselves and others and God)
  • Nice Christian (ineffective/powerless)

1 Peter 5:9

Resist him, stand fast in the faith

Stand

  • take a position
  • continue
  • hold firm
  • establish presence

Galatians 5:1

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, (stand fast) then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of bondage.

  • doubt
  • fear
  • unbelief

Eph 6:10  Stand strong in the Lord and in his mighty power

Results of standing strong  in the Lord “Defender”

When we stand in the power of the Lord we become aware of

  • His Constant Presence
  • His Increase of Faith
  • His Promises
  • His Commitment

Today

May I have your attention

Proposed Assembly Bill 2943 would make it an ‘unlawful business practice’ to engage in ‘a transaction intended to result or that results in the sale or lease of goods or services to any consumer’ that advertise, offer to engage in, or do engage in ‘sexual orientation change efforts with an individual,’” explained National Review.

The proposed law could  be construed to make it illegal to sell Bibles, since they include verses that the far left finds unacceptable

What the bill basically says is that anything that can be seen as trying to impact a person’s sexual orientation would be illegal to sell or offer.

This would almost certainly include traditional Christian counseling services and books

Comments

  • It’s time that we Christians start living in the Victory Christ has given us.
  • For too long we have given into the enemy and accepted an “existence “life style
  • Many Christians fail to apply the principles of the  “Christian Advantage”
  • We deal with life the way the world does.
  • We allow our God given authority to be neutralized
  • Too many become victims instead of victors
  • It’s time we take our positions in Christ and live VICTORIOUSLY

The Word of God Says

1 Cor 15:57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 John 5:4-5   For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.

Prov 2:7 He holds victory in store for the upright

2 Cor 2:14 thanks be to God, who always leads us in victory in Christ

Ps 60:12 With God we will gain the victory , and he will defeat our enemies.

1 Jn 2:13 Your fellowship with God enables you to gain a victory over the Evil One.
Phil 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

1 Thess 5:24 The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.

It’s time

  • Step up
  • Take our position
  • Impact our “sphere of influence”
  • Live in the victory Christ has given us
