Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.  Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth.  Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.

You are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?“ I said, “Here I am. Send me.”

Abraham’s faith and deeds worked together. He proved that his faith was real by what he did… Anyone who doesn’t breathe is dead, and faith that doesn’t do anything is just as dead!

Another version: removing action from faith is like removing breath from a body. All you have left is a corpse..
